Civic Organizations In Our Communities

The problem with most of the fraternal organizations, all over the country is that the older members (usually men) are aging out. Most people tend to slow down when they are well into their “golden years” and most of those aging members are so used to the way that things were done in the past. So many of them are resistant to change, but are too old to carry on with the way things used to be.

The younger people that are being encouraged to join these wonderful civic organizations are brought on board but are not being treated with the dignity, respect, nor are they being taken seriously that any new member – no matter what their age may be, deserves. My family has always been pro community. I have family members that are with the Elks, Ruritans, Masons, Shriners, Moose, Knights of Columbus and a few Odd Fellows!

The masonic ring here that I found online will be perfect for a couple of my brothers and sisters to all go into together and purchase for our father on Father’s Day this year. June will be here before we know it and it would be great to see him open up a present that he really will enjoy and use. This certainly will be better than the usual new tie or pipe that we have been  getting for him for so many years.
